About HVAC in Kirkwood, NY

Much of the housing Pao Card works on in Kirkwood, NY was built long before central air was normal.

That shapes everything. Older buildings often have radiators and no ductwork, walls with little insulation, and windows that were never intended to seal against a cooling load. Fitting modern comfort into that is a different job from installing a system in new construction, and it is worth working with people who have done it.

What we do

• Heating. Steam and hot water systems are still common here and are their own discipline. Uneven heat, banging pipes and radiators that never warm usually trace to venting, pitch or a circulation problem rather than to the boiler itself.
• Ductless mini-splits. For buildings with no ductwork, these are often the only sensible route to cooling, and they handle shoulder-season heating well.
• Boiler and furnace replacement. Sized by heat loss calculation. Older buildings are frequently fitted with equipment sized for the building as it was before insulation and windows were improved, which means it is now far too large.
• Cooling and air quality. Filtration matters in dense areas, and window units are not the only option.

How we work

Written pricing before starting, technicians who explain the fault in plain terms, and honest guidance about what an older building can and cannot accommodate.
